DAY 2 - SOUTHERNDOWN GOLF CLUB

Southerndown Golf Club is one of the finest natural downland courses with a tough finish culminating in an 18th hole that takes you towards the sea via a split-level fairway.

DAY 3 - ROYAL PORTHCAWL GOLF CLUB

Royal Porthcawl Golf Club provides one of the richest golfing experiences in Europe. It is never out of sight of the sea or blocked from the majestic view of Swansea Bay or out of reach of a wind that is particularly troublesome on the first three and last four holes. The 18th is played directly towards the sea, the prevailing wind and the setting sun. The course is one of the finest links courses in the world.

DAY 4 - NON GOLFING DAY

An opportunity to perhaps visit Cardiff or head off to the beautiful Gower peninsular for a day of sightseeing.

DAY 5 - PYLE & KENFIG GOLF CLUB

Pyle & Kenfig Golf Club has two loops of 9 holes, with the back nine being regarded as the tougher of the two and with the final three holes regarded as the toughest of the lot. Each is over 400 yards, with deep bunkers before you, which culminate in a demanding finish.

DAY 6 - PENNARD GOLF CLUB

Travel west to Pennard Golf Club. They call Pennard the links in the sky because although it has all the trappings of a seaside links course it is perched high on a cliff-top west of Swansea. This brings double benefit to the lovers of links golf - the sand based fairways offer the usual pleasures and its lofty position provides outstanding views.

DAY 7 - LANGLAND BAY GOLF CLUB

The Langland Bay course is one of several attractive courses in and around the Gower Peninsula that have a distinctive appeal to visitors. The appeal stems from its magnificent views. The challenge is one of small greens, plenty of bunkers and unwelcoming rough, which combine to ensure that you will have more to keep an eye on than the scenery.

In 2010, the Wentwood Hills golf course will host the Ryder Cup. The course is a spectacular 7,400 yard, par 72 course. It is the ultimate test of golf and a superb way to commence this itinerary, which involves three of the finest courses in Wales.
