THE MERRION HOTEL, LLANDUDNO

ITINERARY

DAY 1 - THE MERRION HOTEL

Check in at the Merrion Hotel. Very few hotels are so perfectly situated on the classical sweep of Llandudno's beautiful promenade and majestic bay with its impressive Victoria Pier and are yet, just a short stroll from the shopping centre. Even fewer offer the exceptional standard of award winning cuisine that always delights the visitors staying at the Merrion.

DAY 2 - LLANDUDNO (NORTH WALES) GOLF CLUB

Llandudno (North Wales) is one of the oldest courses on Wales' northern coastline. North Wales offers its biggest challenge to those golfers blessed with a hook for its front nine runs out alongside the railway line and the back nine returns along the coast.

DAY 3 - CONWY GOLF CLUB

Conwy has given its name to a river, a mountain, a magnificent castle and a championship links golf course that played a distinctive role in two World Wars. It has played a major role in championship golf ever since, the quality of its challenge matched by a spectacular setting between mountain, river and sea.

DAY 4 - NON GOLFING DAY

A day perhaps to venture into the glorious surroundings of the Snowdonia National Park.

DAY 5 - LLANDUDNO (MAESDU) GOLF CLUB

Llandudno (Maesdu) lies just opposite the North Wales Golf Course and enjoys the very same views of Snowdonia and Conwy. But while the North Wales Course is distinctly a links course, the Maesdu layout takes on a more parkland feel.

DAY 6 - PRESTATYN GOLF CLUB

Another of the unspoilt links courses which line the Welsh coastline, Prestatyn has been a favourite with top golfers because it has several particularly challenging holes. Exposed to both the westerly and the north-westerly winds, the links also present players with the problem of the Prestatyn Gutter, a deep and wide draining ditch that comes into play on six of the holes.

Overnight at the Merrion Hotel, Llandudno

DAY 7 - ST DENIOL GOLF CLUB

Perched on the side of Bangor Mountain, St Deniol Golf Club offers compensations in return for the demands it makes. It's a tough test, both on you physical stamina and your golfing ability, but you get your rewards in the heavenly views.
