THE CASTLE HOTEL, HARLECH
ITINERARY
DAY 1 - NEFYN & DISTRICT GOLF CLUB
Nefyn is quite unique. Apart from having a pub two thirds of the way around the course, the views are exceptional and the course itself is very fair. Arguably the best holes are 11 to 18 which are situated on a headland. From Nefyn travel to Harlech and check in at the Castle Hotel, which as its name suggests is located alongside the famous Harlech Castle. A warm welcome awaits you at the family owned hotel. Many of the rooms have views of the castle or across the peaks of Snowdon.

DAY 2 - ROYAL ST DAVID'S GOLF CLUB
Royal St David's is rightly regarded by many as the finest course in Wales. Only twice do successive holes proceed in the same direction so the wind invariably spreads trouble as you negotiate your away around the holes. Although not long, the course has been described by professionals as the world's toughest par 69.

DAY 3 - PWLLHELI GOLF CLUB
Another of the superb collection of quality courses in North Wales. The course is similar to Porthmadog in the sense that the outward nine holes are of a tough links nature, whereas the back nine are of a traditional parkland format. The course was frequented by Lloyd George, who also opened it in 1909 when he was Chancellor of the Exchequer.

DAY 4 - PORTHMADOG GOLF CLUB
Porthmadog Golf Club was created at the turn of the century by James Braid. The course has two distinct halves. The front nine are away from the coast and the terrain is more heathland. The back nine heads for the sea and some beautiful scenery.
