ITINERARY
DAY 1 - CONWY GOLF CLUB
Conwy has given its name to a river, a mountain, a magnificent castle and a championship links golf course that played a distinctive role in two World Wars. It has played a major role in championship golf ever since, the quality of its challenge matched by a spectacular setting between mountain, river and sea. From Conwy travel south to Nefyn and check in at the Caeau Capel Hotel. Built in the 1800's, this country house hotel is set in 1.5 acres of sunny gardens. The rooms are comfortable, the cuisine very good and the proprietors will look after your every need. A great base from which to play the courses of north west Wales.
Overnight at the Caeau Capel Hotel, Nefyn
DAY 2 - NEFYN & DISTRICT GOLF CLUB
Nefyn is quite unique. Apart from having a pub two thirds of the way around the course, the views are exceptional and the course itself is very fair. Arguably the best holes are 11 to 18 which are situated on a headland.
Overnight at the Caeau Capel Hotel, Nefyn
DAY 3 - ABERSOCH GOLF CLUB
Abersoch Golf Club has been voted as the 5th best golf course in the UK in it's category by Today's Golfer Magazine. All the holes are named, in Welsh, from local landmarks, fields or views. A super round of golf that will not be forgotten in a hurry.
Overnight at the Caeau Capel Hotel, Nefyn
DAY 4 - PWLLHELI GOLF CLUB
Another of the superb collection of quality courses in North Wales. The course is similar to Porthmadog in the sense that the outward nine holes are of a tough links nature, whereas the back nine are of a traditional parkland format. The course was frequented by Lloyd George, who also opened it in 1909 when he was Chancellor of the Exchequer.
